Friends of St George
The school's Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is known at St George's as 'The Friends'. It is the official charity and fundraising arm of St George’s Hanover Square Primary School. It is managed entirely by the school children’s parents and carers.
The Friends provide essential support to the school and pupils and recent cuts have made this input even more crucial. Past projects include financing of the new ICT suite that houses the school’s computers. The Friends are currently fundraising to upgrade the digital infrastructure of the school.
The Friends host several fundraising events such as cake and pre-loved uniform sales and the most important fundraiser is the annual Mount Street Gardens Summer Fair. Thanks to amazing sponsors, funds are raised for the pupils while delivering a great day, full of fun and activities for both children and grown-ups!
