Enrichment

Enrichment is an extremely important part of school life at St George’s. We feel it is vitally important that all pupils are offered the opportunity to take part in a range of extra-curricular activities. We have very strong links with our local community and utilise these for the benefit of all our pupils.

We also are incredibly privileged in having our own Cookery and DT room which enables cooking to be a high priority in our curriculum. We have a separate well-resourced music room and an up-to-date ICT suite with enough computers for one per child.

Last academic year our pupils were, amongst other activities, given the opportunity to complete the following:

  • Horse Riding in Hyde Park
  • Handel House Music Project
  • Royal Academy of Arts Project
  • Royal Academy of Culinary Arts- Adopt A School
  • Sessions with MEND
  • Fir for Sport PE Coaching
  • Form 6 Residential to Sayers Croft
  • Peripatetic music lessons
  • Links with Westminster Secondary Schools
  • Visits to various Places of Worship
  • Sports competitions

We also worked as a school to achieve the bronze Games Mark award and the bronze Healthy Schools Partnership award as well as the Music Mark.
