On Monday 16th January members of Form 5 and Form 6 attended the launch of the BBC Radio 2 ‘500 Words’ story writing competition at Broadcasting House.  They formed part of the audience for a ‘Live Lesson’ in which Barney from Blue Peter and Naga Muncheti, recently seen dancing on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, presented an interactive story writing workshop that was being broadcast to schools across the country.  Guests on the show included popular children’s authors, Malorie Blackman and Frank Cottrell-Boyce, and actor Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter movies.  Some of the children participated in the live show and had some amazing story writing ideas  which all of the celebrities loved.  You can watch the recording of the show by using the link below.
